Furniture Assembly and Install Pricing

Furniture Assembly: $75/hour, with a two-hour minimum ($150).

 

Assembly time varies significantly depending on the item, manufacturer, complexity, number of pieces, and provided hardware. Assembly times cannot be guaranteed in advance. While some items can be completed within two hours, larger or more complicated pieces—particularly certain IKEA, Amazon, and similar ready-to-assemble furniture can take 4–6 hours or longer to properly assemble.

 

Furniture assembly is billed based on the actual time required. If an item is taking substantially longer than anticipated, we will discuss the additional time and cost with you before continuing.

 

Solid Home Repair provides furniture assembly and installation services throughout the Birmingham area. From a single piece of furniture to furnishing an entire room, we assemble, position, secure, and install furniture so it is ready to use.

 

Services include beds and platform beds, bunk and loft beds, Murphy beds, desks, tables, chairs, bookcases, entertainment centers, TV stands, cabinets, outdoor and patio furniture, baby furniture, office furniture, storage furniture, and more.

 

Furniture installation

 

Some furniture requires more than basic assembly. We can also secure furniture to walls, install wall-mounted pieces, make minor adjustments for proper fit, and complete other installation work required by the manufacturer.

 

 

Multiple-item assembly

 

Have several pieces that need to be assembled? Combining multiple items into one project is typically more efficient and cost-effective than scheduling each item separately. This works especially well for new furniture purchases, home offices, rental properties, move-ins, and room updates.

 

 

All brands welcome

 

We assemble furniture from IKEA, Wayfair, Amazon, Target, Walmart, and other manufacturers and retailers. Client-provided assembly instructions and all manufacturer hardware should be available at the time of service.

 

Labor and Estimates

General stand-alone labor rate: $75/hour

 

For estimated projects, labor is typically bundled based on the overall scope of work, which can help reduce the total cost compared with pricing each individual task separately. Payments made by cash or check will also reflect a lower total since no digital payment processing fee applies.

Licensed and Insured

Solid Home Repair is a licensed and insured home repair and maintenance business serving the Birmingham area. We take care when working in your home and focus on providing reliable, professional repairs while respecting your property and living space.

 

When an estimate is sent through our estimating software, a copy of our business license, proof of insurance, and W-9 will be attached for your records.

 

We accept cash, check, credit and debit cards, ACH bank transfers, and Zelle. 3% CC fee applies to digital payments.
