From individual repairs and fixture replacements to full bathroom remodels and partial kitchen renovations, we can help repair, update, and improve your space.

 

Services include faucets and sinks, drain and plumbing repairs, vanities and pedestal sinks, shower fixtures, tub and shower caulking, cabinet repairs and installation, hardware, tile repairs, flooring, wall repairs, painting, trim, and other kitchen and bathroom improvements.

OLDER HOMES

We specialize in working with older homes, where existing plumbing, cabinetry, tile, walls, uneven surfaces, and previous renovations often require additional troubleshooting and creative solutions. Whenever practical, we work with and repair existing materials rather than automatically replacing them.

REMODELING

We provide full bathroom remodeling as well as partial kitchen renovations and upgrades. Projects can include demolition, flooring, vanities, fixtures, cabinetry, tile, drywall and plaster repairs, painting, trim, hardware, and finish work.

 

Work requiring separately licensed trades may need to be coordinated with the appropriate contractor.

Labor and Estimates

General stand-alone labor rate: $75/hour

 

For estimated projects, labor is typically bundled based on the overall scope of work, which can help reduce the total cost compared with pricing each individual task separately. Payments made by cash or check will also reflect a lower total since no digital payment processing fee applies.

Licensed and Insured

Solid Home Repair is a licensed and insured home repair and maintenance business serving the Birmingham area. We take care when working in your home and focus on providing reliable, professional repairs while respecting your property and living space.

 

When an estimate is sent through our estimating software, a copy of our business license, proof of insurance, and W-9 will be attached for your records.

 

We accept cash, check, credit and debit cards, ACH bank transfers, and Zelle. 3% CC fee applies to digital payments.
